FRISCO, NC ­- Gloria Lavern Cella Platt, 92, of Frisco, NC died Tuesday, February 13, at Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks. Born in Bellevue, PA on September 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Violet Macker Cella and George Frank Cella, Sr.

Gloria is survived by a daughter, Carla Marie Meekins of Avon, NC; a son, Terrence Lee Platt of Ravenna, OH; three grand-children, Sheryl Meekins O’Neal, Theresa Platt Hawkins, and Carl Jacob Platt; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Christopher Varamo and Joslyn Hawkins.

Along with parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Platt, Jr.; and a brother, George Frank Cella, Jr.

No service is planned at this time. Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery.
