ELIZABETH CITY, NC ­- Candace “Candy” L. Phillips died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 in Virginia Beach. She was 72 years old. Born in Franklin County, Ohio, she worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring.

Survivors include her husband Wallace “Skip” Phillips of the Elizabeth City residence; her daughter, Jennifer Plumley; her step-daughter Keesha Lynn Phillips; her two brothers, Dan Jesson and Tom Jesson, many other family members, in-laws, extended family members and many close friends including Mary Kelly and Brian Smith.

The family is holding a private celebration of her life Saturday February 24, 2018. Memorial donations for the American Heart association can be made in lieu of flowers.
