The Currituck County Extension staff and 4-H participants are inviting sponsors to help support the 2018 Albemarle Area 4-H Livestock Show and Sale, that is coming up on Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 25 at the Albemarle Area 4-H Livestock Arena, located on Pro-Gro-Drive in Elizabeth City.

CURRITUCK 4-H’er Taylor Lowry was one of the participants in last year’s Albemarle Area Livestock Show and Sale. This year’s show is coming up on April 24 and 25 and sponsors are being invited to help support this annual event. (Extension photo)

Several Currituck 4-H’ers are working hard to train, care for, and prepare the animals they have purchased for show and market. Many of these youth use the proceeds from the sale of their animals toward college or other future plans. Sponsors can help support these youth by buying an animal at the auction, sponsoring awards, or simply attending the show and sale to cheer for the youth.

The schedule of events for April 24: 1:30 p.m. special awards show, 3 p.m. fitting and showmanship of goats and judging of goats, 5 p.m. fitting and showmanship of lambs and judging of lambs.
