COLUMBIA, NC ¬- Pearl Brickhouse Furlough, 88, of Columbia died Thursday, March 1, at the Tyrrell House in Columbia.

Born March 16, 1929 in Tyrrell County she was the daughter of the late Lafayette Brickhouse and Janie Dodge Brickhouse and was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jake Furlough; brother, Leslie Brickhouse; sisters, Mabell Berry, Emma Cahoon and Lillian Lohli. 

Her family includes her daughter, Sue Furlough Fricks and husband Steve of Marietta, GA.; son, Hal Furlough and wife Maria of Clayton, N.C.; four grand-children and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 4, at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.  Burial followed in Azalea Memorial Gardens. Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell were in charge of arrange-ments. Online condolences may be made at  www. maitlandfuneralhome.com.
