Home gardening workshop scheduled

Tri-County Home Landscaping and Gardening Workshop is set for March 24.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco.

The workshop is free with all informational materials included and lunch provided.

Pre-registration is required by March 19.

The workshop features six speakers including Extension Master Gardeners, Extension Agents, and local garden experts covering a variety of topics including Climate Change and Your Plants; Things We Do to Our Trees; Pollinators and Native Plants; Rain Gardens; Butterfly Gardening; and Sustainable Landscape Design.

Ann Daisey, community conservationist in a shared position between the North Carolina Coastal Federation and Dare County Soil and Water Conservation District, is one of the workshop presenters.
