Youth who are interested in preparing food and learning where food comes from will have a great time at the Seed It and Eat It Culinary Camp being held by Currituck’s Center for North Carolina Cooperative Extension.

This camp is for youth ages 9 to 14 and will be held April 3 through 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Tuition for the camp is $50 and includes several field trips to local farms, lunch and snacks each day, and goodies to take home.

Children will learn the basics of kitchen safety, kitchen etiquette, and will have the opportunity to prepare a variety of foods including main dishes, snacks, desserts, and appetizers. The camp will conclude with a chopped challenge that parents are invited to attend.
