ROPER, NC – Helen Marie Fredericks Spruill, 90, died on March 20.

Helen was born August 16, 1927 in Denison Iowa.  She was the daughter of the late Frederick Fredericks and Elizabeth Vogt Fredericks and was preceded in death by her son, Brian Thomas Spruill. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Laura Huebner, Mary Bohlman and Marie Greider and brothers, Bill Fredericks and Harry Fredericks.

Helen is survived by her husband, Raymond Thomas Spruill of Roper.; daughter, Lisa Gail Spruill of Los Angeles, CA.; sons, Steven Ray Spruill and wife Margy of Stafford, VA. and Timothy Douglas Spruill and wife Knar of Glendale, CA.; grandchildren, Sako Spruill and wife Sabrina, Jason Ray Spruill and wife Carrie, Jacob Ray Spruill, Jake Edward Spruill and fiancée Emma Maddax, JoAnn Anderson, Jessica Burke, Jaclyn Davis and Jordan Decourcey and great grand-daughter, Caitlyn Grace Spruill.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, March 25, at 2:00 pm at Mackey’s United Methodist Church, Roper with Reverend Sue Barnes Farlow, Gene Waters and Thomas Biggs officiating.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, at the church following the service and other times at the residence.
