COLUMBIA, NC – Helen Brown Waterfield, 80, of Columbia, died Tuesday, March 27, in Plymouth.

Born September 1, 1937 in Pender County she was the daughter of the late Richard Lee Brown and Tinnie Layton Brown Knicker-bocker and was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffery Gay and brother, J.R. Brown.

Her family includes her daughters, Marie K. Wallace of Plymouth, N.C., Barbara W. Hicks and Rick Moore of Great Falls, MT.; son, Steven A. Waterfield of Columbia, N.C.; sister, Faye Swain of AZ.; grandchildren, Deirdre Cahoon and Amanda Cahoon of Plymouth, N.C., Carrie Hernandez and husband Max of Williamston, N.C., Joshua Hicks and wife Leslie of AK. And Rachel Campbell and husband Steven of HI. and eighteen great grandchildren.
