Roanoke Island Festival Park has announced the return of the Dare County High School Art Show. This annual show will run Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the event room through April 27. The public is welcomed to stop by and view the talented work of local students from Manteo High School, First Flight High School and Cape Hatteras Secondary School at this free event. The closing reception and awards ceremony will take place Sunday, April 29 from 5-7 p.m.

“Year after year, we are amazed by the talent and creativity of our local high school students. Their advanced skill level is a testament to the wonderful art teachers we have in Dare County,” said Kim Sawyer, executive director at Roanoke Island Festival Park.

The event room is lined with a vibrant array of artistic mediums, including mixed media, paintings, graphic design, drawings, photography and sculptures. The annual show gives students an opportunity to test and showcase the new techniques they have learned throughout the year. This year promises to be another memorable and inspiring show.
