Learn to make healthy snacks

Published 9:44 am Wednesday, April 4, 2018

Most everyone likes to snack. The best snacks are easy to make, taste great and fill you up without weighing you down. But sometimes we snack on cookies, cakes and chips and while those are OK in moderation, there are some better options that are just as tasty.

All are invited to learn to create healthy snacks varying from veggies to sweets at a fun and interactive cooking session that will be presented by Currituck’s Center for North Carolina Cooperative Extension on April 24 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The class fee is $10 and class size is limited. Registration and payment of the class fee are required by April 16. Registration is available online at go.ncsu.edu/whatscookingsignup or by contacting Currituck’s Extension Center at 252-232-2261. Payment may be made in person or by sending a check payable to “Currituck County” to Currituck Extension Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Include the class name on the memo line.
