James E. Lammers

James Edward Lammers “Jimmy Limits” was born July 14, 1952 and passed away April 30, 2018 at the age of sixty-five from melanoma.  Jimmy was the owner and operator of Lammers Stained Glass in Powells Point. For forty-six years he took great pride in utilizing his artistic abilities to create the “Crown Jewels” of stained glass for countless homes, churches and businesses.  He and his wife, Teri, spent a great deal of time hunting and gathering hidden treasures from all over the map, which he thoroughly enjoyed.  Every single one of those treasures had a story that he was delighted to tell.  From sailing the open waters to motorcycling the Blue Ridge Parkway, Jim was in touch with nature and enjoyed being a caretaker of the land.

Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, storyteller, philosopher, entrepreneur and artist.  He was many great things to many people.  He was always inclusive and constantly displayed selfless acts of kindness and love.  Jim had a dominating presence that will never be lost.
