On Saturday, May 26, 2018, Jonathan Patrick Hurd died unexpectedly in Avon, North Carolina at the age of 36.  Jon will be forever remembered by his parents, Patrick and Betsi Hurd; his brother and sister in law, Matthew and Lynn Hurd; his brother Andrew Hurd; his nephew, Kaden; and nieces, Ava and Madalynn. He will also be forever remembered by many cousins and his aunts and uncles, David and Sharon Forton; Glenna and Jeff Gerard; and Polly and Denny Helmig.  He is preceded in death by his uncle, Michael Hurd, and grandparents Stanley and Billie Hurd and Gordon and Rosemary Forton.

Jon was born on August 18, 1981 in Manassas, Virginia.  He graduated from Osbourn High School in 2000. He was working as a project manager at Serene Construction in Richmond.
