Phyllis K. Smith, 86, died Tuesday, June 26 in Nags Head. She was from the Ottawa, Illinois area and was visiting her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Jan Paoletti of Southern Shores and her family as well as one son in Texas and one son in Illinois and their families.

Plans for Mrs. Smith’s funeral and burial in Ottawa are pending at this time.
