Joanne Kay Boyce, 70, of Elizabeth City, died Monday, July 2, 2018. 

She was born October 30, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Chet and Garnet Gregory.  

After making Elizabeth City her home in 1988, Joanne worked at George’s Optical for many years and was a long-time member of the Evangelical Methodist Church family.  

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Lynn Boyce; and sister, Joyce Showens.  

Joanne is survived by a son, Ky Belk and his family of Lakewood, Colorado; a daughter, Marcy White and husband Randy of Kill Devil Hills; a grandson, Avery Panpradith; granddaughters, Brealle and Courtney White; as well as a niece, two nephews and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Evangelical Methodist Church, 820 Old Okisko Rod, Elizabeth City, on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10 a.m. A private family reception will follow.
