Stephen Ralph Meadows, 67, of Knightdale died July 10, 2018. Steve, born Sept. 5, 1950, in Bedford, Indiana, was the only child of Ralph and Mildred Meadows of Mitchell, Indiana. In 1992, Steve married the former Phyllis Creef of Manteo.

After graduation from Mitchell High School, he attended business college in Louisville, Kentucky. Steve served in the Navy during the Vietnam era, then began a varied career, spending the majority in sales, sales training and management.

Steve is survived by his wife Phyllis of the home; stepson Delmer Keen, Grantham; step-daughter Leslie Lewis, Zebulon; brothers-in-law: David and wife Tama Creef and Paul and wife Melinda Creef and nephews Elisha Benjamin Creef and Josiah Asher Creef, all of Manteo; and Jack Russell rescue GracieLynn Savannah Meadows.

A Celebration of Life and memorial service with Masonic rites was Friday, July 13, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, Knightdale.

Graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018, at Manteo Cemetery, Wingina Avenue, Manteo with a reception to follow at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
