On June 17, 1971, she promised to be a “loving and faithful wife” to Richard W. Daniels, a promise she wonderfully kept for 47 years. For 42 of those years, she bravely struggled against multiple sclerosis. After military and church services led the couple to live in England, and several places in the U.S., they finally moved to Wanchese.

They had no children, but she leaves behind her two sisters, a niece, nephews, and their children in Pennsylvania, and many beloved friends and relatives on Roanoke Island.

A memorial service of praise and thanksgiving to God will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Manteo Baptist Church.

Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.TwifordFH.com.
