Helen J. Bechtel died Aug. 5, 2018 in Nags Head. She was 90 and born in Philadelphia. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Judy Falciano, son-in-law, Tony Falciano; Grandson, Matthew Falciano all of Manteo; her grandson, Anthony Falciano, and wife Stacey; great-granddaughters Hannah and Hailey Falciano of Wanchese; her brother, Harry Nuskey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins from Pennsylvania.
