Louie Rodriguez, a career firefighter for Kill Devil Hills and a volunteer firefighter for Colington, has been battling cancer. To help offset costs, friends are having a NC Style BBQ dinner fund raiser on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 4-8 p.m. at Kitty Hawk Baptist Church, 3946 N. Croatan Highway, Kitty Hawk.
