Lucy “Page” Nichols died peacefully in in her home on August 30, 2018 at the age of 67 after a short battle with cancer.

Page was born on December 4, 1950 in Petersburg, Virginia to Dransfield and Fredrika (Hubbard) Nichols, the eldest of five children. As a young adult, she moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina – a place and community she was proud to call home. After time, Page had her son West, and he was her greatest pride. Her son will remember her as a greatly supportive mother, with dry wit and a great love of filling his house with antiques.

Gifted in many ways, her family knew Page as the talented one capable of anything from mosaic-making to jewelry-crafting to furniture restoration. She was a dedicated individual who loved history and who was passionate about her family genealogy. An excellent cook as well, she combined two of her passions and helped write a family cookbook. She will be greatly missed by her family and remembered fondly by everyone who knew her.
