Tornado watch in effect through 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 10 counties in North Carolina, including Dare, through 9 p.m. tonight.
Thursday dawned with Florence remaining a weakened Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 110, but life-threatening storm surge and rainfall are still expected, the weather service said.
