Johnny Albert “Gator” Powell

Johnny Albert “Gator” Powell, 65, of Columbia died Sunday, September 9, 2018, at his residence in Columbia. 

Born March 14, 1953 in Washington County he was the son of the late Johnny Herman Powell and Rosa Lee Singleton Powell and was preceded in death by his sister, Dottie Powell Walker and brother, Gordon Ray Powell. John was a retired manager with the former City Motor Parts Store and later worked in construction. 

His family includes his sisters, Linda Powell Winslow of Smithfield, Mary Frances Morgan of Tarboro, Marie Annette June of Conway, April Powell Basnight and Fay Powell Raynor both of Plymouth; brother, William Stanley Powell of Leland, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
