Jerry Oren Hardison, 66, of Engelhard, died, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018.

He was born in Beaufort County, Oct. 28, 1951. He was the son of the late Beverly Oren and Leona Cahoon Hardison.

He worked as a building inspector for the County of Hyde. He loved his job, fishing, meeting and helping people.

Surviving is a son Michael Hardison; special friend, Torino Chappell; a sister, Janice W. Wyant; two grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
