Christian athletes host benefits

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its first of two back-to-back fall fundraisers Monday, Oct. 15 at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills, followed by the second Benefit, Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Carolina Center in Elizabeth City. This year’s event will feature Webb Tyndall, former UNC Tarheel, who played on Dean Smith’s last team in 1997.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Enjoy the buffet and bid on Tarheel memorabilia in the silent auction anytime between 6-7 p.m. The program will run from 7-8:30 p.m. Tables of eight can be hosted for $300. The deadline for reservations is Oct. 10.

These events highlight and celebrate this past year’s ministry growth and raise funds necessary to support the local FCA chapter serving Northeast North Carolina, which includes Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank,and Perquimans counties.

Along with Tyndall, local coaches and athletes will also be on hand to share about FCA’s impact on their campuses throughout Northeast North Carolina at the collegiate, high school, and middle school level.

All proceeds will help FCA continue to impact Northeast NC and meet the ever increasing needs of this expanding organization.
