Oscar K. Keller

Oscar K. Keller, known as “Bud” to his friends or “Pap” to his family, died at his home in Southern Shores on Thursday, October 4. Born 1925 in Frederick, Md. to the late Oscar S. and Edith May Keller, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He received an Honorable Discharge in 1946 and returned to Hagerstown, Md., where he met and married Bettie Jane Guessford Keller, who proceeded him in death.

He was a skilled craftsman, making pipes for pipe organs around the country, including the Air Force Academy Chapel.

Family includes daughter Gloria Jean Kline and husband Thomas Kline (deceased March 2018), son Charles Edward Keller and wife Shirley of Hagerstown, son Steven E. Keller and wife Tammy of Southern Shores, grandchildren Christopher and wife Larissa of Waynesboro, Pa. and Emily Keller of Hagerstown and three great grandchildren.

Oscar will be cremated and he and Bettie will be interred at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown in the future. No services are planned at this time.
