The Coast Guard continues to search for 75-year-old mariner Anthony Neri, who did not return from a fishing trip near Avon on Monday.  

Coast Guard crewmembers located a boat matching the description of Neri’s Carolina Skiff 24 miles southeast of the Oregon Inlet Sea Buoy at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.

The Coast Guard and other partner agencies have searched approximately 2,122 square miles within the past 48 hours.
