Bonnie Ray “Skeeter” Lilley, 81, of Plymouth died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Born September 25, 1937 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Bonnie Madison Lilley and Ida Elizabeth Overton Lilley and was preceded in death by his daughter, Marlyn K. Conner; step-brother, Ralph “Turk” Overton and step-sister, Cynthia Lee Overton.  Skeeter retired with 20 years’ service in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and later retired from manufacturing as a machine operator.

Survivors include wife Sarah Gay Lilley of Plymouth; daughters Bonnie Faye Lilley of Bluffton, S.C. and Michelle Lee Lilley of Ridgeland, S.C.; sister Ann Lilley Bartholomew and husband Wayne of Raleigh and step-sister, Linda Overton Lee of Vanceboro; grandchildren Joshua Wright and Madison Chapman; great grandchildren, Andria, Anthony and Hayden.

Funeral service was held Thursday, November 29 at 2 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth with Thomas Biggs officiating.
