Kendra Ferris Woodard, 61, of Grandy, died suddenly at home December 11, 2018. Kendra had been battling several serious health issues for the past few years. She was born in Norfolk, Va. to the late Kenneth and Dolores Ferris.

Following her schooling, Kendra was employed for over 20 years in the financial sector throughout the Hampton Roads area. In her spare time, she enjoyed relaxing at home under the loving care of her son.

Kendra Woodard is survived by son Alden James Woodard of the Grandy home; sister Cheryl McLean of Virginia Beach, Va.; her son’s father Jamie Woodard of Chesapeake, Va. and other relatives, in-laws and friends.

The family will honor Kendra’s preference for cremation and there are no services planned at this time. The family gratefully requests that anyone wishing to honor Kendra please do so with a donation made directly to Gallop Funeral Services to assist with her final arrangements.
