Ronald Edwin Meadows, 63, of Duck, died Friday, December 7, 2018, at his home in Duck.

Survivors include wife Claudia McKeon Meadows; daughter, Jaime Meadows Brinkley, husband Scott of Suffolk, Va.; and grandchildren Jackson, Sydney and Morgan Brinkley; siblings: twin brother Donald Meadows (Suzanne) of Dunedin, Fla.; Rodger Meadows (Debbie) of Southern Shores; Cynthia Adams (Ronald) of Hertford; Amy Winstead of Virginia Beach, Va.; and John Meadows (Wendy) of Powells Point.

While his primary career was as an interior trim carpenter, he started out in the grocery and restaurant fields. He was a founding member of the Duck Volunteer Fire Department, serving 17 years, the last five as chief.

There will be a private family memorial service at a future date.
