At the December 3 Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting, Chairman Bob Woodard presented Environmental Health supervisor Jack Flythe with a certificate of appreciation for his 33 years of service to the county. Flythe will be retiring at the end of the month.

“Under his guiding hand, Dare County’s Environmental Health system has become an exemplary role model throughout the entire state of North Carolina. Jack has performed his duties in a way that has earned the respect and admiration of everyone he has encountered throughout his distinguished career,” remarked Woodard during the presentation.
