Don Gene Griffin Jr., 46, of Nags Head, died December 20, 2018 in Nags Head.

Don Jr. was born in New Bern to Don Griffin Sr. and Nancy Domroe on April 1, 1972. He married Theresa Bolling in 2005. He worked as a marine electrician for many years and helped his father build Griffin Marine, Inc. in Wanchese. Don was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He especially loved going on the boat with his young daughter Maylynn and their numerous Labrador retrievers.

Don is preceded in death by his brother Michael Griffin and stepfather Mark Domroe.

Don is survived by his wife Theresa Griffin, daughter Maylynn Griffin, mother Nancy Domroe, father Don Griffin Sr., stepmother Sandra Griffin, sister Crystal Osada and her husband Daniel and honorary sister Jacki Jacques.

A luncheon celebrating Don’s life will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, December 29 at Old Nags Head Cove Clubhouse, 4512 S Hesperides Drive in Nags Head.  Friends and family are welcome to attend.

The family gratefully requests contributions toward his cremation expenses made directly to Gallop Funeral Services.
