Elizabeth Anne (Tid) Booth

Elizabeth Anne (Tid) Booth, age 89, died on December 27, 2018 at  English Meadows-Elks National Home in Bedford, Va. where she resided four years. Previously, she lived in Manteo, NC and also in Suffolk, Va.
Her husband, John Wilkes Booth III, predeceased her.

She is survived by their two daughters: Lisa Booth of Lynchburg, Va. and Lori Baskin (Alan) of St. Thomas, USVI. A sister Polly McFarlane (Raymond, deceased) of Roanoke, Va. survives. Her parents Howard and Elizabeth Reynolds of Newport, Va. and a brother Osborne Reynolds of Blacksburg, Va. predeceased her, as did her in-laws John Wilkes II and Rozsa Booth .

Five grandchildren survive: Tiffany Booth Riddick (Deshon), Stephen (Grace), Ryan Baskin and Wilkes and Annie Booth; six great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. Several nieces and a nephew survive as well.

Tid received her business degree from Steed College in Elizabethton, Tenn. She retired as office manager from Ferguson Manufacturing Co. in Suffolk, Va. after 34 years.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Suffolk Chapter. She was also a charter member of the Garden Gate Garden Club of Sadler Heights. The family were members of Main Street United Methodist Church in Suffolk.

Tid battled Alzheimer’s and her body was donated to the State Anatomical Program for research and education to the many doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals studying in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, SW, Roanoke, Va. These caring, kind, thoughtful and loving caregivers are truly God’s angels here on this earth.
