Lynda Grey Gallop, 73, of Wanchese died Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home. Born in Troy on June 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Margie Miller Gallop and Captain Warren Gallop.

Survivors include daughters Jamie Horning (James), Tena Stetson and Kimberly Miller; grandchildren Heather Bridges, Ryan Vance, Joel Stetson, Tiah Stetson and Jimmie Horning; two great-grandchildren; sisters Brenda Swain, Judy Lawrence (Jack) and Margie Tillett (Justin); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emilis Gallop.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 10 at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
