North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation PT-2-2019 reopens all Internal Coastal Fishing waters of the state north and east of Highway 58 Bridge to the North Carolina/Virginia state line for the setting of pots.

The pot season reopens at 6 a.m., Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.

“The intent of this proclamation is to manage the pot closure period according to N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission Rule 15A NCAC 03J .0301(a)(1). It has been determined that the Internal Coastal Fishing Waters in the remainder of the state are free of pots and the season can be reopened,” states the proclamation.
