Clayton “CJ” Evans Jr. is The Outer Banks Hospital’s 2018 Employee of the Year

Clayton “CJ” Evans, bio-medical technician II for Vidant Bio-medical Regional Outreach, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s 2018 Employee of the Year. Evans joined TOBH in March of 2017 and brought 15 years of experience with him.

The Employee of the Year is selected from the year’s 12 Employees of the Month and exemplifies five values: compassion, excellence, integrity, innovation and teamwork.

According to his co-workers, Evans is a joy to work with. He is personable and always has a smile for everyone, is a team player and is committed to providing excellent service.

“CJ sets the example for standards of performance as he is dedicated, reliable and self-motivated,” stated Brandy Nunnery, director of facilities services. She continued, “He communicates well and exhibits professionalism in his appearance and his demeanor.”

Evans is self-motivated and performs his work with integrity, always making patient safety a top priority. He ensures that bio-medical equipment is repaired and maintained quickly and correctly. One of his major contributions since joining TOBH has been raising the compliance level of hospital equipment.

Evans consistently demonstrates accountability through his prompt responses to equipment troubles. He is dedicated to his role and always come through with any requests made of him.

The love and support shown by all staff members is astonishing!” He continued, “I reiterate, I’m very grateful to be a part of this organization!”
