Powells Point – Reese Craig Harris, 59, of Powells Point, NC died Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home. A longtime resident of Dare County, he was born April 14, 1959 to the late Nonie L. White and Leroy Harris.

Active in the Masonic Fraternity, he was a member of Manteo Lodge 521 AF & AM.

Reese is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bracy Harris; daughter, Ashley Renkosiak and husband Tom; granddaughter, Scarlett Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews, Beth Batten, Austin Batten, A.J. Batten, Carter Bracy, Kennedy Bracy, Landon Bracy, Jordyn Bracy, Grayson Bracy, Jayda Copeland, Brynn Copeland, Clarke Copeland, Aiden Hudson and Lauren Bracy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Cooke.

A funeral with Masonic rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 3 at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo. Burial will follow at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
