These sweet shelter pets from the Outer Banks SPCA and Currituck Animal Shelter would love to spend Valentine’s Day (and beyond) with you! Read on for more information on each of these ten cuties:

Outer Banks SPCA

Our hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended adoption hours on Wednesday to 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

All animals featured here qualify for our “Single and Loving It” fee waived adoptions.

Normal adoption fees are $50 for cats and $85 to a hundred for dogs.

All animals are current on vaccinations and all adoptions (including free!) include spay/neuter, microchip, free thirty day insurance, free wellness exam with a local vet and more!

Blondie is a young, outgoing pup. She is well known on social media for hanging out with her sidekick friends as well as being very photogenic! She is very smart, affectionate, and eager to please and learn new things. She would prefer to be the only (spoiled) pet in the home but will reward you with the best hugs ever!

Simon says, “I’m a big handsome goofball!” Simon is a young, potty trained mixed breed doggo looking for his forever family, preferably one that loves walks as much as he does! He is playful and affectionate. He needs to be the only pet in the home and is longing to soak up all the rays of love and attention from his future furever family.

Lelo is one big love bug! She is an adult chow mix with a sweet and laid-back personality. Her favorite toy is a squeaky rubber chicken. She loves naps and sunbathing. Lelo is so loyal, she prefers not to share you with any other pets!

Doris is a rowdy 6 year old who lives to play! . . . And nap, of course. She wants all your nap time snuggles, playtime, and lovins just for herself! Doris is a polydactyl and she puts those extra toes to use, tossing around her toys!

Tammy Girl is a 5 year old precious polydactyl who wants your undivided attention, unless she is eating, of course! She loves long naps, but when it’s time to play she will definitely let you know. She believes she is queen bee and with those toes who would doubt her?! If you are prepared to serve, call 252-475-5620!

 

Currituck Animal Shelter

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs or cats, visit the animal shelter or contact us at 252-453-8682. If you are interested in adopting a dog/cat you may go ahead and fill out an adoption application on the Currituck County website (https://co.currituck.nc.us/wp-content/uploads/sites/55/2018/02/Adoption-Application.pdf), and turn it in to the shelter.

Adoption fees are $75 for cats and $125 for dogs. The shelter only accepts checks and cash. Credit Cards are not accepted.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon until 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Sadie is one of the mamas from our seizure in January. She was an amazing mom to her puppies and now she is ready for her forever home. She is around 2 years old and weighs about 35 pounds.

Spud is a very intelligent, 2 year old male. He is very friendly and loves to learn new tricks!

Rex is a timid boy that would do well in a home that is patient. He is gorgeous and as soon as he trusts you, he is happy to give you love!

Blue is another of the mamas from our January seizure. She has been a very loving mama to her babies and now she wants to be treated as someone’s baby. She’s around 3-4 years old and has plenty of love to give.

Claude cannot understand why he is still waiting for his forever family! He is a great, fun loving boy. Claude is around 8 years old and still full of spunk.
