Hester Angel “Peggy” Lane Taylor

Hester Angel “Peggy” Lane Taylor, 84, of Pleasant Garden, NC, entered into the joy of her salvation, March 6, 2019.

Born in Christiansburg, Virginia, July 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Oakley S. Lane and Macy Marie Blankenship Layne, and loving foster parents George Forrest Benn and Elma Mccanless Benn.

Peggy will best be remembered for her innate kindness, sweetness, and tenderness. She had a simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and quietly let her light shine. She loved music and had a natural gift for playing the piano. She was pianist at White Rock Church of the Nazarene for many years. But mostly, she loved being a mother, and, in that role she was unexcelled. “Her children call her ‘blessed.’” Peggy joined the Saints on Ash Wednesday, reminding us that “we are all dust and to dust shall we return.” For those who live for Christ, the tears today will turn to joy tomorrow at our sweet reunion. Thanks be to God!
