Girl Scouts hold contest for free cookies

Published 9:48 am Friday, March 22, 2019

The only thing better than Girl Scout Cookies is free Girl Scout Cookies! Girls in northeastern North Carolina and southeastern Virginia are in their last days of selling the sweet treats and as a special “thank you” to customers, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast wants to reward consumers who visit cookie booths with a chance to win a free case of cookies (12 boxes).

When customers visit a cookie booth and spend $20 or more, they will receive a card with a website listed at the bottom. They must write the troop’s number at the bottom of the card while they are at the booth, visit the website and fill out their contact information by March 26 to be entered into the contest. A winner will be chosen in the days following March 26 from the Peninsula, Southside and North Carolina. There can only be one entry per customer.

To find a cookie booth, customers can enter their zip code at https://cookielocator.littlebrownie.com/. The Cookie Locator app is also free to download for Androids and iPhones. Cookies are on sale until March 24.
