Harriet “Jean” Eugenia Nunemaker, 91, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019. She was born May 9, 1927 to the late Henry and Estella Kroupa Davenport. In addition to her parents, she preceded by her husband Charles Nunemaker; two grandchildren; seven brothers and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Billy Whitehurst; daughters JoAnn Young (Lonnie) and Peggy Winstead (Thomas); sisters Dorothy Orford of Yuma, Arizona  and Alice Gay of Eureka, California; grandchildren Timmy Whitehurst (Kim), Brandy Frazier (John) and John Thomas Winstead (Jennifer); great-grandchildren Brianna, Wyatt, Nathan, Sidney, Bradley, Amanda, Zackary, Ryan and Caleb; five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, April 1, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
