Jogger, house struck by van in Kitty Hawk

A van struck a jogger from the rear around 7:15 Tuesday evening in the area of the 4100 block of Lindbergh Avenue in Kitty Hawk. After striking the jogger, the van continued south, running off the road and into a house.

According to information from the Kitty Hawk Police Department, the jogger was taken to The Outer Banks Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, names of both the jogger and the driver of the van are being withheld. Charges are pending against the driver of the van.
