The Lost Colony’s Dare Nights announced

Dare County locals can receive a free ticket to the The Lost Colony show on the first three Fridays in June with a donation of food or paper products.

The Roanoke Island Historical Association (RIHA), producers of The Lost Colony, announced this season’s Dare Nights will take place on June 7, 14 and 21.

On the designated Dare Nights, a Dare resident can receive a free ticket to the show with a donation of non-perishable food or paper products and proof of Dare County residence.

Recommended items for the food drive include canned vegetables, fruits, meats, soups and beans; tomato and pasta products; cereals; toilet paper and paper towels.

Tickets will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The show starts at 7:45 p.m. and theatre guests are encouraged to arrive early. Pre-performance donation collection begins at 6 p.m. There are no rain checks with these free tickets.

The Lost Colony runs through August 23 at the Waterside Theatre, located on the grounds of the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island. Additional information can be found at www.TheLostColony.org or by calling 252-473-6000.
