All Davenports and descendants of Davenports are invited to the 2019 Davenport gathering to be held in Leon Nixon’s Catering Facility in Edenton on August 5-7 and at the Silas Davenport family farm on the Scuppernong River below Columbia on August 8.

The speakers at this event are all volunteers who have spent many years researching our Davenport families. Although most Davenports from the Albemarle area are descendants from Richard Davenport of Kilby Parish, England, Davenport descendants from other early colonial Davenports are expected.

The cost is $100 for catering all four days, eight meals in total.

Rooms have been reserved at reduced rates at local hotels. However, out-of-towners must reserve their rooms at the Hampton Inn in Edenton by June 27 (phone 252-482-3500) or the Holiday Inn Express in Plymouth by July 5 (phone 252-793-4700) to get the significantly reduced rate. The rooms are reserved under Davenport Gathering.
