Edith May Arnold Harris, 77, of Plymouth, died July 8, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Washington County, March 18, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Willie Glen and Effie Lorene Matchen Arnold. She was married to Robert L. “Bobby” Harris, who survives.
She was a member of the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Harris worked for the Washington County Emergency Medical System as an Emergency Medical Technician for over twenty -five years. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, loved children and spending time with her family
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., July 12 at the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Steve Creech will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
In addition to her husband, survivors include son Michael Hubert Harris of Stokes; daughter Penny Lynn Harris of Plymouth; grandchildren Michelle Harris, Timothy Harris, Nicholas Harris; two great-grandchildren; brothers Billie Ray Arnold and wife Pat of Castle Rock, Colo., James O. “Chubby” Arnold and wife Carolyn of Plymouth; sisters Lillie Ann Spruill of Plymouth, Hilda Gray Taylor of Hamilton and Glenda Scott of Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Glen Harris; grandson Richard “Buddy” Gay and sister Linda Faye Arnold.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene
