This past spring, Manteo High School assistant track and field coach Dan Gale, right, coached Emmanuel Tadeo Perez to a new school record in the pole vault.

Gale will be holding pole vault clinics for rising eighth graders through high school age athletes at the Manteo High School track in July and August. According to Gale, the clinics will offer new pole vaulters a chance to learn safe pole vaulting techniques as well as offer experienced vaulters various drills and techniques to help improve their skills.
