Rescuers work to free man trapped in Creswell grain bin

Authorities say rescuers are working to free a man trapped in a North Carolina grain bin.

News sources report Washington County manager Curtis Potter says a call came in around 9:30 a.m. on Monday from Lake Phelps Grain Inc. in Creswell for a gas leak. Potter said a subsequent call came in for a rescue in the bin.

Potter says Washington County Fire Department as well as neighboring agencies responded to the rescue attempt.
