Joy the Clown added to Scuppernong Festival lineup

Planning is continuing for the Saturday, October 12 Scuppernong River Festival. Joy the Clown will join the cast of entertainers at the day-long street festival in the Town of Columbia.

Joy the Clown will be riding her unicycle in the Main Street Parade and afterwards will be doing face painting and balloon art under her tent. She will also have a rabbit and a dove for children to see and pet.

Joy will be joined by a number of entertainers and a host of amusement rides, helicopter rides, food, arts and crafts vendors, capped off with fireworks over the Scuppernong River and a night time concert.

This is the 28th annual edition of the community festival, which calls attention to the Scuppernong River and the Scuppernong grape that grows along its shoreline.
