Billye Brown-Youmans to lead choral concert

Eastern Carolina Concert Society has announced that Billye Brown-Youmans, widely acclaimed performing vocalist; Virginia Wesleyan University instructor; clinician; conductor; and music director at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church in Chesapeake, Va., is returning to The Outer Banks to lead a community choir of local singers in a weekend choral festival of sacred music.

The workshops will culminate in a Choral Festival Concert on Sunday, August 25 at 4 p.m. at Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, 907 S Croatan Hwy. in Kill Devil Hills. The concert will also feature Virginia Symphony brass and timpani/percussion. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Eastern Carolina Concert Society is a 501(c)(3) formed in 2002 for the purpose of highlighting local talent.
