First Flight High School swimmers fend off Currituck to remain unbeaten

In the closest meet of the season, First Flight boys narrowly defeated Currituck 149 to 145 to preserve their unbeaten record in a six-way swim meet in Elizabeth City on Friday, December 13. With a 77 point lead, First Flight girls, continued their dominance, winning easily over six other area teams.

Top Nighthawk finishers included Bri Wilso, who was first in the 100 free and 100 breaststroke; Brodie Nash was first in the 400 free; Anne Holcomb was first in the 400 free; Emmy Trivette was first in the 50 free; Maura Trivette was first in the 200 free; and Christian Miller was first in the 100 backstroke.

Nighthawk girls also won all three relays, the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free, while First Flight boys won the 200 medley and 200 free relays and were in second in the 400 free relay.
