Friedrich Gittel, 86 of Plymouth, died December 11, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Friedrich was born in Poland, August 30, 1933 to the late Andreas and Marta Shlack Gittel. He worked in the maintenance department for Diosynth Biotechnologies.

He was married to Gladys Gittel, who preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at a later day in Chicago, Ill.

Surviving is a brother, Henry Gittel and wife Lis of Plymouth; sisters Edda Laino and husband Dan of Virginia, Beach, Va., Bertha Suendermann of Chicago and Helen Gittel of Tucson, Ariz.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy, Plymouth.
