Short agenda for Currituck County Planning Board

An already short December 10 Currituck County Planning Board agenda was made even shorter when one text amendment was removed and another tabled.

According to planning and community development drector Laurie B. LoCicero, NCDOT has not yet weighed in on any of the proposed changes for a Windswept Pines text amendment that involve setbacks and driveway widths in residential developments that use curb and gutters.

No date was set for PB 19-27, but a response is possible after the first of the year in time for it to be included at the January 14 meeting date.

Moving on to the second agenda item, PB 19-25, Planning Board members were provided with a brief overview for a lengthy list of proposed Unified Development Ordinance amendments to Chapters 1 through 6 and Chapter 10.

Faced with a lengthy list of changes, board members elected to table action until January, which will allow time for a closer review.
